Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness. This type of care keeps focus on to help the patient to get rid of symptoms and stress of the illness. The aim is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.
At present, palliative patients are taken care of in our hospital. However, limited availability of beds is insufficient to meet the increasing number of patients in need.
We propose to expand a Palliative Care facility which can accommodate more patients in near future.
As we witness the social structure of India’s families’ changes the “graying of the globe”; the same is affecting rural areas too. While rendering medical and health services, many elder persons are observed being neglected or displaced in their last years. As time passes by, their numbers are increasing.
Arnala Health Trust is working upon a solution to this problem within its range.
The solution that respects the elder's dignity and autonomy, provides them with the best medical care and treatment.
Plans are already underway to build an eldercare facility.
The trust has already purchased additional land and an extension of 4000 sq. ft. is to be built for the above mentioned departments.
